PRODUCTORA and Lucio Muniain win the International Architecture Competition for the CAF Headquarters in Caracas
Prensa CAF (Caracas, 24 de septiembre de 2008) - La CAF dio a conocer que la firma mexicana PRODUCTORA, en colaboración con “Lucio Muniaín et al,” también de México, resultó ganadora del Concurso Internacional de Arquitectura para la Nueva Sede de la Corporación Andina de Fomento (CAF). El jurado emitió su veredicto sustentado en que la propuesta destaca por su síntesis simple y acertada de los criterios de sostenibilidad, calidad urbana y ambiental, calidad arquitectónica y eficiencia funcional y por integrar espacios públicos a favor de la comunidad. En una primera etapa de este concurso la CAF invitó a firmas de arquitectura de los 17 países socios de la Corporación a presentar credenciales. Posteriormente, después de un proceso de preselección se invitaron a concursar 52 firmas. En definitiva se recibieron 44 propuestas arquitectónicas procedentes de 12 de los países accionistas de la CAF: Argentina, Brasil, Bolivia, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador, España, México, Paraguay, Perú, Uruguay y Venezuela. Enrique García, presidente ejecutivo de la CAF hará entrega del premio en un acto a realizarse en Caracas, Venezuela, cuya fecha se anunciará posteriormente. En esa oportunidad se presentará la propuesta ganadora, así como las demás que obtuvieron clasificación o menciones.El segundo lugar lo obtuvo la firma Andrade Morettin Arquitectos Asociados Ltda. de Brasil y el tercero la española QVE-arquitectos. Press release CAF (Caracas, 24 September 2008) - The Mexican firm "PRODUCTORA" wins the International Architecture competition for the New Headquarters of the CAF. The CAF made public that the Mexican firm PRODUCTORA, in collaboration with "Lucio Muniain et al", are the winners of the International Architecture competition for the New Headquarters of the Corporación Andina de Fomento (CAF). The jury emitted their decision explaining that the proposal envisions a simple and pertinent synthesis of the criteria of sustainability, urban and architectural quality combined with functional efficiency and integrates public spaces in favor of the community. In a first phase of this competition the CAF invited firms from 17 countries who form part of the Corporation to present their interest in the competition. After a process of selection 52 firms were invited and proposals were received from 12 different nations: Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador, Spain, México, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela. Princeton Architectural Press: ‘Young architects 9 – Proof'.
Proof is the ninth in an annual series of publications that features the best young practicing architects as selected by the Architectural League of New York in their annual Young Architects competition. Competition entrants were asked to use the theme "proof" to frame their portfolios and critically evaluate their work. PRODUCTORA signs contract for a 1000m2 villa in Inner Mongolia, China
Together with 99 other architecture studios from around the world - selected by the Swiss firm Herzog & deMeuron - PRODUCTORA was invited to particpate in the ORDOS100-PROJECT in which one hundred architecture studios will built 100 villas in the city of Ordos in Inner Mongolia, China. Iñaki Bonillas en el Matadero, Madrid
La intervención específica 'El topoanalista' del artista mexicano Iñaki Bonillas evoca la memoria de la antigua cámara frigorífica del Matadero mediante el uso expresivo de la luz, el color y la temperatura. Un degradado de contrastada intensidad recorre un espacio que antaño fue morada del hielo y también presa del fuego. (MATADERO ABIERTO X OBRAS / 21.11.07 al 20.01.08). La instalación fue diseñado con el apoyo de PRODUCTORA y realizado en situ por Intervento, Madrid.

El dia viernes 5 de Octubre presentan Cineclub del Taller Cetto de la UNAM y PRODUCTORA la pelicula 'PLAYTIME' de Jacques Tati en las oficinas de PRODUCTORA a las 20.00 horas. "Playtime, de Jacques Tati , fue la primera, y puede que la más divertida, crítica a la globalización imperante: ese grupo de turistas que vagabundea por París, que es un puzzle de otras ciudades, ganada por la deshumanización, las arquitecturas sin alma, la pomposidad y prosperidad de la prisa como modo de vida, las pesadillas del tráfico y la asepsia de los no lugares, acaban previsiblemente añorando sus pequeños dominios, donde las cosas conservan su olor y su sabor, aún es posible un poco de silencio y, en fin, los vecinos saben cómo te llamas." Opening of the exhibition of Iñaki Bonillas 'Naufragio con espectador' at Gallery OMR
PRODUCTORA is proud to present the opening of the exhibition 'Naufragio con espectador' (Shipwreck with Spectator), the most recent work by Iñaki Bonillas. The artist asked PRODUCTORA for architectural support for the site-specific installation that plays with the obvious tilt of the gallery building: four platforms were produced to create the illusion of a sea of light that viewers can submerge themselves in or walk on, leading to a new perception of the gallery’s space. PRODUCTORA is selected by The Architectural League of New York to present its work at the Young Architects Forum. The Architectural League of New York is an independent forum for creative and intellectual work in architecture, urbanism, and related disciplines. Participants in the Architectural League’s Young Architects Forum are chosen through a portfolio competition accompanied by a short text that addresses the competition theme ‘Proof’. Winners receive an honorarium, exhibit their work at the Urban Centre New York and present a lecture. GALERIA LUCIA DE LA PUENTE, LIMA, PERU
PRODUCTORA presenta su proyecto arquitectónico para el Museo de Arte comtemporanoe de Lima, Perú en la Galeria Lucia de La Puente (Lima) en el marco de la exposición de Sandra Gamarra 'Nuevas Aquisiciones'. Para la exposición fue realizada una publicación con textos de Aldo Chaparro, Kersten Geers, Ruth Estevez y Sandra Gamarra, la cual contiene una obra de Iñaki Bonillas elaborada especialmente para esta ocasión. La exposición se inaugura el próximo miércoles 13 de setiembre en la Galería Lucia de la Puente, en Lima y estará abierta hasta el 14 de octubre 2006. En la exposición se presentarán maquetas, dibujos y estudios del proyecto.
The architectonical design for the ‘LiMac’ (Musuem of Contemporary Art - Lima) will be presented in the Gallery Lucia de la Puente in Lima, Peru as a part of the exhibition `New Acquisitions’ by the Peruvian artist Sandra Gamarra. For this presentation a booklet was published with collaborations of Aldo Chaparro, Kersten Geers, Ruth Estevez y Sandra Gamarra which contains a special artwork by Iñaki Bonillas. The exhibition will open its doors on Wednesday 13th of September in the Gallery Lucia de la Puente and remains opened until the 14th of October 2006. Models, drawings and studies of the project will be presented.
