For the exhibition 'Naufragio con espectador' (Shipwreck with Spectator), the most recent work by Iñaki Bonillas, the artist asked PRODUCTORA architectural support for the site-specific installation that plays with the obvious tilt of the gallery building: four platforms were produced to create the illusion of a sea of light that viewers can submerge themselves in or walk on, leading to a new perception of the gallery’s space. Four steel frames that could be levelled by a system of metal bolts were introduced into the gallery space; the platforms were covered with MDF plates and airbrushed in situ with an epoxic polymer paint to obtain a smooth surface. Later also a presentation model of the instalación was produced.
