CROSSING, National Museum of Art (NAMOC), Beijing
For the exhibition “Crossing: Dialogues for Emergency Architecture” at the National Art Museum of China, Beijing 14 architectural firms were ask to think about the notion of emergency architecture. PRODUCTORA participated with an installation called ‘Law of closure’ based on the notion of the Gestalt law that our brain is tend to visually recognizing and unify figures and whole forms out of a collection of simple lines and objects. We suggest the possibility of delimiting the space by only building its four corner columns. The basic structure offers constructive solidity, both physically and metaphysically: strong corners, a definition of a place, a horizon above you, openings and solid foundations.
